Really looking at light and reflection, also this image has a certain quality about it with the colour reflecting from the bowl and table. This illustration took a good couple of sessions before this end result. I may revisit this in the future as I have plans for a set of prints. Illustrated in Flash.
This was drawn from a photo taken on holiday in Southern Italy. Spent about 3 days on it and really enjoyed in the process. Getting the light right on this baby meant loads! Illustrated in Flash.
Final illustration ended up with over 20 layers to add shading and detail. First commission always a nervious time! Illustrated in Flash.
Having illustrated faces in a very minimal way, I’ve started using gradients to emphasis depth in the illustrations.
What was fun about doing this illustration what while working in such a close view to the illustration for details such as the mouth and eyes, it was always a suprise when you zoomed out to take in the whole and how everything clicked into place.
