Andrex asked PRELOADED to design and build a digital product, and learning framework to provide children and caregivers with the supporting material and tools to help children to practise the health habits that will last a lifetime – The GoTime app was born!
Central to the Playbook concept is a world of friendly and relatable characters, each of whom help reinforce the learning at different stages of a child’s development.
In developing the suite of characters – Bunny, Mouse, and Bear – we also developed a unique visual style and language that borrowed from the best of children’s storybook illustration.
There has never been a more important time to practice good hygiene habits. Recognising this, Reckitt set out to expand its hygiene education in schools to reach 100 million children globally by the end of 2026 – teaching positive hygiene habits to reduce incidents of preventable illnesses and absenteeism rates.
Teaming up with PRELOADED & LEO, Reckitt wanted to explore how play can drive positive behaviour change for children aged 6-9 as well as helping teachers demonstrate the importance of good hygiene in engaging ways.
The result of this collaboration is Dettol Hygiene Quest, a hybrid learning programme which brings together interactive play with story-led learning. Anchored in meaningful storytelling, the experience drives real-world health outcomes by empowering children to play, practice and learn.
BBC Worldwide and Google have teamed up to bring one of the world’s most respected and loved natural history brands to VR in a completely unique real-time experience.
BBC Earth: Life in VR is a meticulously researched and crafted experience, which takes the users to the Californian coast, and to an underwater world bursting with life.
Designed for audiences new to VR, the experience adopts Preloaded’s low threshold design approach, putting great emphasis on ease of use and the overall comfort of the experience. Honed over many months of testing, the Life in VR experience and format has been created to capture the imagination of the BBC’s Natural History content, and build on the passion for VR.

Taking on the arcade greats of old, we designed and built Iron Maiden their very own co-op adapting the music video’s pixel aesthetic. The platformer pits you against an endless supply of randomly generated levels. With over a quarter million plays within the first couple of days, the game also picked up a FWA award.

Earlier in the year I decided to take part in the Edge Magazine, Get into Games contest 2015. With the brief of ‘Loot’, 2 months and using Unity3D, I ended up producing ICARUS.1, a FPA (First Person Adventure) game. The game won the contest and has been shown at the Dare Protoplay Games Festival, Dundee.
Abandoned for decades, crew MIA, the ICARUS.1’s job was to store mined Ore from the systems outlying planets. It orbits the local sun to maintain it’s solar energy and proved a lucrative business for JME corp.
After contact was lost, no attempt was ever made to make contact with the stricken station, instead the project was mothballed – a cover up some may say.
Many stories about what happened have become lore but Sam isn’t focusing on these ‘stories’, the goal is the cargo and the wealth it will bring.
“I turned the lights down for a really immersive experience, and the ore collection mechanic was so much fun and perfectly fed my obsessive compulsive near-disorder.”
David Helgason – Unity Technologies founder
“The game brings back feelings of first playing System Shock or Half-Life. I love creepy, empty space ships with history, and the sound design on this was especially great.”
